Photos+Video: Ebony Launches First Album, ‘BONYFIED’

The ’90s bad gal’, Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng known by the stage name Ebony has finally unveiled her maiden album titled ‘Bonyfied’.

Her album launch, the first of its kind since signing under Rufftown Records/Midas Touch was a brief ceremony held at the poolside section of the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra as the Dancehall diva gave audience delightful evening treat to some of her hit songs like ‘Poison’, ‘Kupe’, ‘Sponsor’, ‘Date Ur Fada’ among others.

Ebony was joined by dancehall artiste Kaakie; Efya, and Kurl Songx as they entertained patrons to live band music.

Kasapreko bought her first album CD for Ghc5000 and added that they were proud to sponsor her album launch and would always be available to support her.

The event launch which was hosted by Trigmatic saw several artistes and other celebrities such as, Captain Planet, Abeiku Aggrey Santana, KOD, Lexis Bill Giovani Caleb among others gracing the occasion.

Ebony featured collaborations with Gatdoe on ‘Poison’; Brella on ‘Hustle’, and Rudebwoy Rankin on ‘Haters Anthem’. Bullet, Rudebwoy Rankin, Gatdoe, Das and Fredi contributed songwriting.

Her management announced her first and self-owned concert dubbed ‘Soloku Bonyfied Concert’ slated for Saturday, December 9 at the forecourt of the Westhills Mall, Accra.

The special night to meet with her fans at the Westhills Mall will feature artistes such as Sarkodie, Samini, MzVee, Kuami Eugene, KiDi and King Promise.

Other supporting acts are AK Songstress, Brella, Danny Beats, Bosheba and many others.

The ‘Soloku Bonyfied Concert’ is put together by Rufftown/Midas Touch Inc and powered by Kaya Tours. It is being sponsored exclusively by Soloku Bitters.

Born Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, her song ‘Kupe’ helped her gain mainstream attention in the Ghanaian music industry.
